How do I identify patients to take the Cognivue Thrive™ screening?

Cognivue Thrive is appropriate for people of all ages. We recommend testing all of your patients due to the strong correlation between cognitive decline and hearing impairment. Cognivue provides a cognitive questionnaire that can be included with your patient in-take forms.

How does Cognivue Thrive fit into the workflow of an Audiology office?
This self-administered 5-minute screening easily fits into the workflow of a busy practice, Audiologists often incorporate Cognivue Thrive screenings during new patient evaluations and annual visits. It is often administered at the same time other routine tests are performed. 
How do I drive physician referrals?

Cognivue provides a full comprehensive marketing, communication and education programs. These physician programs are designed to increase awareness and ultimately increase the number of patient referrals.

How can I market Cognivue Thrive to my patients?

When is it appropriate to refer a patient to a Primary Care Physician?
We recommend referring a patient to a Primary Care Physician if a patient scores in the ‘red range.’ If a patient scores in the ‘yellow range’, we suggest the patient repeats the screening again in approximately 30-45 days. Patients are sometimes referred to a Neurologist if the patient does not have a Primary Care Physician.
Is Cognivue Thrive covered by insurance?

Cognivue Thrive screenings in Audiology practices are not covered by Health Insurance Companies at this time. However, Audiologists currently using Cognivue have realized a 75% to 85% success rate regarding patients willing to pay for screening without insurance coverage.

What do most audiologists charge patients for a Cognivue Thrive screening?
On average, Audiologists charge $35-$50/per screening. There are various revenue models often used in combination. There are also other revenue considerations that add to the total return on your investment such as improved hearing aid purchase conversions.
Is the Cognivue Thrive device difficult to install and start using?
